The Girls Baptism

Today we had our babies baptized at the First United Methodist Church in midtown Sacramento. Julie has been looking forward to this for weeks now, she loves to tell people how Spider Man lives in the bell tower and how she is going to get water on her head. The girls God Parents, the Wards and the Taylors were there along with my Dad, his girlfriend, Richards Mom and Step Dad, plus Julies cousins Jaydo and Brianna. When Reverend Don poured the water before the were baptized I thought Julie was going to freak out, she got the biggest smile on her face and started looking at everyone and cheering! She told the Reverend that she was going to laugh when it happened and that Mommy would probably cry, he told her both were ok! They were both great, Julie stood there excited and Jemma just laid in the Reverends arms, then both of them were introduced to everyone in the church! They also both sat through the long service quietly (Grandpa was secretly feeding the kids all chocolate to keep them quiet).

After the baptism the church photographer took everyones photos and then we all headed back to our house for a little lunch reception. We toasted the girls (and the boys jokingly toasted their saved souls) to vintage champagne we received at the girls birth and enjoyed a light lunch, chocolate chip cookies and cupcakes! Then the kids jumped on the trampoline and ran in the sprinklers! It was a wonderful day!! I am so glad that we got to spend it with our loved ones!!

Julies 3rd birthday

Julie had a wonderful third birthday this last weekend. She decided to have a Popsicle party so the neighbor and I cut out tons of paper Popsicles for decorations and we picked up tons of Popsicles at the store. The day of the party we went though 68 Popsicles!! Everyone seemed to have a great time. Julie got tons of wonderful gifts! Thank you everyone!!
